Getting Ready for Winter

It went down into the low teens last night and today it is cold and windy. It seems that fall has finally come full blast to Vermont. It is November after all, but still the weather has been deceptively warm.  ItWood for the winter was only last week that we had three days in the high sixties and this week we barely went above mid fifties.

Here on the farm we feel pretty good for the impending winter. Our wood shed is stacked. Pellets are piled high. The freezer is full of food like carrots, parsnips, tomato sauce, peach cobblers, applesauce, and apple crisps and other goodies and food from our garden.
