Fun Bread Flavors

I posted a (in my humble opinion) a fantastic easy artisan bread recipe a while back. Well, I’ve been havingeasy artisan Spinach and feta bread a blast messing around with this recipe and coming up with flavor combinations that are a big hit at my house!

I’ve done about six different combinations but two have stood out and been on the top “request” list at our dinner (and breakfast and lunch) table. Funny enough, it is two of the more simple recipes that everyone likes best.

Simple to do, just follow the original recipe and add in these ingredients at the point when you are mixing the dough the night before:

Cranberry and Orange Breakfast Bread

1 cup dried cranberries (craisins)

zest of one whole large orange

2 tablespoons of orange juice

adding cranberries and orange zest

Cranberry orange bread

Spinach and Feta Bread

1 package of chopped frozen spinach drained and squeezed dry

1/2 cup of crumbled feta cheese

adding spinach and feta

easy artisan Spinach and feta bread

Just add those lovely extras into the dough and let it sit over night. When you bake either one of these breads the next morning your kitchen is going to smell amazing. Both are unique but with simply, comforting flavors that make everyone smile and feel good. You’ll get loads of compliments on these breads so make sure to double your batch and make two loaves!

This looks like additions to that lovely bread you brought to our cookbook club! Yum! There’s a bakery here that has a “loaf of the week club” that each week has a new bread and spread that you pick up on Saturday that you can only get if you’re part of the club, and these look like I could get them from there! Wish I was there to try some of yours!

Love the “loaf of the week club” by you! Are you a member? Yup, same bread but with some fun additions! I love making this bread and have been making a loaf at least once a week. It’s been so cold that it is super tempting to bake just so I can put the oven on. Next time you visit, I’ll be sure to make one of these!
