Easy Peppermint Bark

With all the holiday parties, cookie swaps, gatherings, and last minute guests, cookies are everywhere in peppermint barkour household this time of year. Peanut butter cookies, shortbread cookies, thumbprint cookies, chocolate chip cookies and so many others. When time is of the essence, the BEST homemade treat is peppermint bark.

We make loads of this peppermint bark around Christmas time and everyone loves it!

You need two ingredients. A bag of white chocolate chips and peppermint candy canes that are red and white. Then there are only a few simple steps to create your peppermint bark.

First, crush the peppermint until in small pieces.

Second, melt the white chocolate. Once melted let the chocolate cool until just warm to the touch.

Fold in the crushed peppermint pieces and then pour the chocolate onto a greased baking sheet to cool.

Let the chocolate cool completely until hard. Break the chocolate into rustic looking pieces – that is the fun part to break it all up! All done and ready to serve!

This looks great! You should see the chaos that is my kitchen in the midst of my cookie tin baking right now, I’d say I’m about 200 hundred cookies in, only a few hundred left!! Miss you!

Oh boy! I can just picture it now!! I’ll bet you have flour on your nose too 🙂 I haven’t reached 200….yet, though if I count all the bark pieces maybe I’m right there with you! Miss you more!
