Our Halloween Highlights from 2014

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. When else can you be a kid again and play “dress-up”, eat enough candy to make your tummy hurt, be scared when you turn a corner and something goes bump in the night, and really whip out your spookiest recipes? This year we did that much and more and I thought I would share our adventures over the last week.

First, my sister, friend and I were invited to a local children’s event to be the “photo-op” witches. The kids and adults had a blast at this Halloween party filled with games, treats, a magic show, witches, pumpkin carving and even a mummy wrap competition.

We got in a little pumpkin carving time at home and then made our amazing Pumpkin Seed Recipe!!

My office team got pretty creative at our annual Halloween party. Kudos and best costume award went to the jelly-fish where she took a white umbrella and make bubble wrap tentacles!

I had a blast creating spooky and delectable treats for the different parties!

Then the highlight of my Halloween was taking my two little nieces and their friends out to trick-or-treat! The three-year-old was particularly brave knocking on all those doors! Once she figured out she got candy when she went up to the door we had to stop her from going to ALL the houses on the street!
