Romp to Stomp
Our family had a fantastic weekend! We participated in the 12th annual Susan G. Komen Tubbs Romp to Stomp out Cancer snowshoe race up on Stratton Mountain in Vermont. It was cold, windy, (did I mention cold) but a lot of fun. The spirit and energy of this event was amazing. People were standing out in the frigid weather all with smiles, handshakes, and laughter. To keep people warm, free hot cocoa was handed out and zoomba dancing took place to keep you moving! The snowshoeing part of the day was great with over 600 people participating. The trail was beautiful with hills and woods – a total of 5k. While you snowshoed you met amazing people and had a great time seeing all of the awesome costumes and outfits! It was truly a moving experience to see so many people come out to celebrate survivors, remember loved ones, and raise money for future research and support those dealing with cancer now.
