Spotting Wildlife

The peepers were out the other night! That means it is officially spring! To celebrate, we filled up our gas tank, grabbed a few bags of homemade trail mix, some water, and our spotting scopes and headed out on the back roads for some wildlife spotting.

We had a fantastic time and saw more than we expected! Total, we spotted about 30 deer, 5 turkeys, a fox, a rabbit, and a skunk.

deer

I had to really zoom in with my camera, so the picture is fuzzy, but here are some of the deer we saw.

rabbit

Here is the rabbit who thought we couldn’t see him.

Okay – not exactly a wild animal, but so darn cute I had to take a picture!

And here he is with his momma!

fox

You can just see this fox on the right side of the photo. He sure was quick!

turkey

Another far away shot, but you can see the turkey’s.
