Cottage Cheese Party Dip

I’m not sure where this dip originally came from. All I know is that this recipe has been in the family recipe box since IParty Dip! was little. Any so-called party that we either had or attended seemed to involve this dip. It is easy, tasty, and goes with anything – vegetables, chips, pretzels, or even goes great on a wrap or sandwich.

What really makes this dip awesome is the cottage cheese. Not only does it give the dip great texture, but it also gives it a nice balance in flavor. This dip tastes just as good when you use the fat-free sour cream, the light mayonnaise, and the skim cottage cheese! I usually use the full fat versions, but I have mixed them and done an all fat-free version and have been happy with the results each time!

24 ounces of cottage cheese

8 ounces of sour cream

8 ounces of mayonnaise

1 (0.7 ounce) envelope of powdered ranch dip/dressing mix

In a medium size cover-able container or a bowl, put all of the wet ingredients in and stir together well.

Wet ingredients

Mix together

Add the powdered dip/dressing mix and stir until well incorporated.

Adding the dry mix

You can serve immediately, but I think this dip tastes much better when it is refrigerated for a few hours or overnight before serving!
